Making IT Profitable:
A Guide for New Businesses & Freelancers

Chapter 7: Planning for Retirement

In our search for retirement planning tips for IT freelancers, we came across a lot of valuable suggestions. In this chapter, we'll summarize the two big takeaways we thought were most helpful for those just starting out:

  1. There is a simple way to plan for retirement, and you can do it no matter how much money you make.
  2. It is possible to save too much for retirement (at least at the beginning).

The second one kind of blew our minds here at insureon, given that the usual message we hear is that nobody is saving enough for retirement. But our investment experts made some good points, and both sections of this chapter are well worth the read.
